Laura Sankey is an authentic relationship builder, respected spokesperson, and trusted liaison.

A strategic executive and mission-focused leader with 25+ years of experience in managed care, social determinants of health, business strategy, product development, operations, and strategic partnerships, she brings a passion for driving socially responsible changes that address community challenges.

Through cross-sector collaborations Laura seeks to create positive social impact and encourages value-based, sustainable business solutions.

Laura currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer for Altarum Institute, a nonprofit research and consulting organization focused on advancing health among at-risk and disenfranchised populations.

As CEO of Social Health Bridge, a subsidiary of Centene Corporation, Laura co-created the start-up and led the operationalization of the business strategy and approach, the procurement of affordable housing partnerships, and contract development with care providers and health systems.

As VP, Product Strategy & Social Determinants of Health she developed Centene's enterprise strategy for identifying and addressing the SDOH needs of Centene’s 25M+ members and fostered cross-sector national partnerships with key players.

Laura has experience leading complex lines of business, overseeing the launch of four Financial Alignment Demonstration plans (Medicare/Medicaid Plans). She also created Centene’s award-winning palliative care program, Compassionate Connections™ and their caregiver support program, Caregiving Collaborations™.
